New Flags that flew over our Nation's Capitol

During this year's Flag Day ceremonies, we were honored to be able to raise a flag that has flown over our Nation's Capitol. Congressman Nick Rahall obtained 2 flags that had flown over the Capitol to provide to Hinton Lodge. These were raised and now fly proudly at both of our US flag locations on the grounds.

The 2008 WV Elks Senior Golf Tournament concluded Sunday, August 17th. Champion Bob Davis won the 3 day event for the fifth consecutive year. Bob is from Lewisburg and serves as a great champion for the tournament. Finishing 2nd and 3rd overall were Hinton natives Darrell Mann and Pat Jordan. Sixty-nine Elks from throughout the state participated. Thirty Hinton Elks and the staff of WillowWood Country Club deserve a great thanks for a job well done in the preparation and work during the tournament. This years tournament marked the 22nd straight year that the Hinton Elks hosted this successful event.

The Hinton Elks were the original founders of the WV Elks Golf Tournament now held in Lewisburg and was also the founder of this Senior Elks Golf Tournament and with hopes of becoming the founder of the State Lady Elks Golf Tournament. A special thanks to the following people who spent their weekend helping with the tournament:
